Indie Groove: July & August 2021

Updated: Nov 12, 2021

This month on Indie Groove we're taking a look at The Killers, Bleachers, Clairo & two massive Irish debuts.

On the first Wednesday of each month at 4-5pm on Liffey Sound 96.4 FM, Dan Brady and I take to the airwaves to review the biggest indie releases on Indie Groove.

This past month (following on from our bumper half year review edition which you can check out here) we ran a little later than usual, which meant that in addition to all the best indie albums of July, we were able to cover the first half of August too!

On this month's episode we're taking a look at some big summer releases - The Killers pen a surprisingly poetic love letter to small town America on Pressure Machine, Jack Antonoff drops production duties to return to his indie roots on Bleachers' third album, Clairo goes hi-fi on her sublime sophomore record Sling and there's some Irish highlights to enjoy aswell as get into two big debut releases from Inhaler and Soda Blonde. It's all here below as well as plenty of tunes in between reviews on the second official Indie Groove podcast, so sit back and crank it up!
